Balochistan Province has vast resources of copper-gold ore, Porphyry type copper ore bodies have been discovered by the Geological Survey of Pakistan at Saubdaj, Dasht-e-Kain, Kabul Kob, Koh-i-Dalil, Missi and Ziarat Pir Sultan. All these deposits occur in Chagai District. Similar deposits may be found in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and the Federally Administered Northern Areas (FANA) while massive sulphide type copper deposits may be found in Lasbela and Khuzdar districts of Balochistan, Wazirstan Agency, FANA and other Tribal Areas.
